Question by : How to connect from laptop in a workspace to laptop in a domain?
I have two laptops. Laptop A is my home laptop that is in some Home workspace. Another laptop B is my work laptop that is my corporate domain. When I bring laptop B to home – there is no domain controller. So when I’m trying to access B from A it says that you can’t do that since there is no domain controller. I just want to share a printer that is connected to B. Is there a way to still doing that?
Question: What is KVM?

Best answer:

Answer by Mark B
On the work computer at the log on, bottom right, click on “options”, and select the local computer name not the doman.

Hopefully they set you up as a local computer user as well as for the domain. If not try logging on as administrator with blank password.

hope that helps

I am trying to allow the kids and I to just share one printer but my laptop doesn’t see the other printer although the network computer says it is sharing the printer.

Best answer:

Answer by burning.mice
Youll need to set up file and printer sharing. First youll need a router (wired or wireless, as long as their all connected). Then youll need to make sure your all on the same workgroup, then set up file and printer shring(should be in control paanel) then go on the laptop and print a test page(you may have to go into print options and choose your printer.)

I thought they would all have a years manufacturers warranty, but some of them mention that they have a 1 year warranty and others don’t say anything about it.
This is the laptop I want to buy..

How do you reset a BIOS password?
If you have forgotten your BIOS password on your desktop PC, the easiest way to reset it and regain access to your computer is to open up the casing and physically remove the CMOS battery (it's a round and silver object) from the motherboard.

Question by how_much_is_90: Laptop deal?
What is the best laptop for the best price, and how do you get it. What is a good model for a nice price.
Perhaps for someone about to start college and maybe someone who plays a lot of online poker and would like to be able to watch DVD’s on it.

Best answer:

Answer by RJ
Unfortunately, the question as asked is a little like asking what is my favorite color. The “best” is too subjective. It depends on how you plan to use it.
If you are looking for a top end, new technology laptop you are probably going to spend around $ 3,000.00. On the other hand, if you are like me and only need it to do word processing and surf the net, you can get older technology refurbs on the auction web sites for $ 300 – 400. For example, I got an IBM P4 1.5 ghz with WIFI for $ 350.
I hope that helps.
